«PORTE TA VOIX», A CHILDREN WORKSHOP PROJECT BY LAUREN TORTIL: JULY 21 & 22.

In the context of her residency in Triangle France, French artist Lauren Tortil created a project taking the shape of two days of art and sound workshops for children (age of 9-12). Coordinated in collaboration with author Sarah Bahr and graphic designer Frabrice Mabîme, this workshop will allow the children to create and experiment with loud-hailers. These portable instruments, oral prostheses or micro-architectures for breathing aim to amplify the voice and to blast it within a certain distance. Through experimentation with a diverse range of materials and forms, participants will engage with the power of their own voice, its propagation within the surrounding space and their listening relationship to others. Formal resolutions will be presented at the end of each day.

July 21 and 22, FREE. From 10:00 A.M. –7:00 P.M. Meeting point in front of the reception of la Friche la Belle de Mai.
