ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

_
MÉGANE BRAUER
In residency from November 9, 2020 to April 13, 2021.

Born in 1994 (FR). Lives and works in Marseille (FR).

Through her work, Mégane Brauer tries to bring anecdotes, objects, slices of life, habits, forces, shocks and glitters to light. But also the spilled submissions, as tiny and derisory as they are, of those to whom the electricity is turned off while the washing machine is running. Being there and taking up space, for once.

Mégane Brauer graduated from Institut des Beaux-Arts de Besançon (2018). Mégane Brauer co-founded the residency program Freedfromdesire with Léa Laforest and Anne Claire Julien (Jura, 2020). Recent exhibitions and projects include: "Déjà Vierge", curated by Claire Astier for Vertical Looping(Star), Eglise de Tour Sainte (Marseille, 2020) ; workshop at squat 59 St Just (Marseille, 2020) ; "La Relève", collective show, art-cade* (Marseille, 2020) and a residency at the Chittagong Institute of Visual Arts, Bangladesh (Chattogram, 2020).
