RESIDENTS AND ASSOCIATE ARTISTS

Every year, Triangle-Astérides issues a call for applications for two distinct programs aimed at hosting artists in its studios: the residency program and the associate artists program.

_
ARTISTS IN RESIDENCY
Applicable Artists: French (outside Marseille and its metropolitan area) and international artists
Facilities Provided: Studio and accommodation
Duration: 10 weeks

The residency program is open to early/mid-career artists (with no age, gender, or nationality restrictions) from French art scenes who do not reside in Marseille and its metropolitan area, as well as international artists.

This is a 10-week residency with no obligation for production or presentation. It is open to artists working in the field of visual arts, across all mediums.

It is possible to apply as a duo, with a partner, and/or with child(ren), taking into account the communal living conditions of the shared apartment.

Three sessions are available: from January to April, from April to July, and from September to November.

Artists selected for the residency program are provided with free accommodation in a 90m2 apartment located in the city center of Marseille. They have access to a private bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a shared living room with other resident artists. Artists selected for the 'residency' program have access to an individual 60m2 studio at Triangle-Astérides (or shared if they are a duo).

A residency grant of 1000 euros gross per month is awarded to the resident artist. In the case of a duo application, the grant cannot be doubled.

Since residencies and studio placements for associate artists are dedicated to research, Triangle-Astérides does not have specialized technical workshops. However, a reserve of materials and small tools is made available to resident and associate artists.

ASSOCIATE ARTISTS
Applicable Artists: based in Marseille and near Marseille
Facilities Provided: studio
Duration: 1 year

The associate artists program is open to early/mid-career artists (with no age, gender, or nationality restrictions) from the local Marseille art scene and its metropolitan area. This involves the provision of a studio space for 11 months. The program is open to artists working in the field of visual arts, across all mediums. A single session is offered: from January to December.

Artists selected for the 'associate artists' program have access to an individual studio space ranging from 60m2 to 90m2 at Triangle-Astérides (or shared if they are a duo).

Rights of dissemination amounting to 150 euros gross for each of the three open studio events will be provided to the associate artist. Additional remunerative projects integrated into the art center's programming will be offered to associate artists (performances, publishing projects, projects involving audiences, such as the "Rouvrir le monde" initiative supported by Drac PACA), according to the artist's practice and expressed needs.

This program is only open to artists living in Marseille and its vicinity (at a distance that allows for regular access to the studio at Triangle-Astérides) as it does not include accommodation.
Since residencies and studio placements for associate artists are dedicated to research, Triangle-Astérides does not have specialized technical workshops. However, a reserve of materials and small tools is made available to resident and associate artists.

Applying to one of the two programs

The next annual call for applications from Triangle-Astérides will be published on the art center's website in May.
